Programs in Michigan

In Michigan we have The Hope Network that houses the Center for Autism.  Please go to their site for more information.  Below is a description of their group for young Aspie's.

Puzzle Partners offers a variety of friendship/social skills groups for teens and young adults who have Asperger’s Syndrome, high-functioning autism, or other social impairment. Through a variety of activities, field trips, and cultural events, the members are coached in problem solving, life skills, and social skills. This gives them a fun and enjoyable way to increase their self-awareness and build social and life skills to assist their growth as they transition into adulthood and independence.
Groups
There are groups for Teen Boys, Teen Girls, Young Adult Guys, and Young Adult Girls.
Each session includes:
  1. Time to get to know others of similar age who are also looking for friendship, acceptance, and new experiences.
  2. A social reminder or special social focus for the day.
  3. Trying something new or repeating a favorite activity.
  4. A fun time!
